The Putian, or Xinghua people are referred to as "Henghua",

The Putian are a Han Chinese people originating in, part of Fujian Province, China. They speak Puxian Min, a Min language. Min is one of the Sinitic languages.

They may also be referred to as Xinghua. Xīng means lucky, whereas Huà means people. Henghua people originated from Henan province and migrated to the present Putian many years ago. Henghua, the language, was the official language use during Tang Dynasty. Henghua people were said mostly in charge for religious affair in during the era and migrated to the Fujian after civil war.

They are referred to as "Henghua" in Malaysia. Today, there are sizable Henghua communities throughout Southeast Asia, especially in Malaysia where the majority can be found in cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Sibu & Kuching.

Other Min-speaking ethnic groups include the Foochow people, Hoklo people, Teochew people and Hainanese people.

all the ingredients give the dish a savoury and sweet aftertaste!

the soup's different from my grandma..
because they added more mushrooms!
but I think its mainly because of the clams they added inside lol
it tastes very sweet because of that...
but I still like my grandma's though it IS very nice
and its as generous as my grandma's

its always used in xinghua dishes thoughhh
I like how the sauce seeps into it and gives it flavour!
and of course the texture is ooooh~
and theres plenty of mushrooms!

last friday we ended school early -....-
today, well it ended around 4 for me.. and it comparison, I feel exhausted =O

both are fridays but the feelings are so different!
